Flared Footbed
The Flared Footbed is a modified version of the Classic Footbed. It offers a slightly flared heel cup for added stability. the The Flared Footbed can be found in most of our Papillio, Tatami Cork, and Birkis Cork styles.

The anatomically arched BIRKENSTOCK footbed is molded in a way that the body weight is distributed evenly across the entire base of the foot. Foot problems to the foot from unilateral or uneven pressures can be prevented by our footbed system. The foot is maintained in its natural shape and the natural walking motion is supported in every step.

The Birkenstock Footbed is covered with a high quality suede liner. The cork and latex mould and the suede liner are able to absorb moisture which helps to provide a very healthy foot climate and enhanced wearing comfort considerably.
